Terms
These are the terms for using Tool Scorer. They are short because the site is simple: we publish reviews, you read them, nobody signs up for anything.
Using the site
You may read, quote and link to anything here. Please don’t scrape the site wholesale, republish reviews or scorecards as your own, or use the content to train or populate another directory. If you use the site in a way that breaks it for other readers, we may block the access that is doing it.
Scores and prices come with no warranty
A score is an editorial opinion, built from documented facts and applied through the rubric on How we score. It is not a guarantee that a tool will work for you, and it is not professional, legal or financial advice. Prices, plan limits and features are taken from the vendor at the time the review is written, and the date of that check is on the scorecard. Vendors change all of it without telling us. Confirm the current price and terms with the vendor before you buy. We publish this site as it is, and we are not liable for a decision you make after reading it.
Links to other sites
Reviews link out to vendors and to public sources. Some of those links are affiliate links, explained on the affiliate disclosure page. We don’t control what is on the other end, and those sites have their own terms and their own privacy practices. Once you click, you are dealing with them.
The reviews are ours
The text, scores, verdicts, rubric and page design on this site belong to us. Product names, logos and trademarks belong to their owners and are used to identify the tools we review; their owners don’t endorse us and we don’t speak for them. Quoting a short passage with a link back is fine. Copying a review, a scorecard or a whole list is not.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms as the site changes. The current version is always the one on this page. If you keep using the site after a change, that is the version that applies.
Which law applies
These terms are governed by the laws applicable where the site is operated. If part of them turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.
